Kissing and Punching: The New Crimes of Art
Posted by jessica
Conflicting emotions for visual art have caused a recent stir in France; a woman wound up in court Tuesday for planting her red lipsticked
lips on a Cy Twombly painting
back in July, and early Monday morning a bunch of drunk kids
punched a hole in the middle of a Monet
. The agony and the ecstasy, indeed.
Update: The kisser
has been ordered to pay 1,500 euros
in damages.
