Philadelphia’s Woodmere Art Museum presents The Art of John Pierce Barnes (1893-1954) through Aug. 30, which features 24 pastels that were recently exhibited at The Butler Institute of American Art's pastel-dedicated Giffuni Gallery. According to Kathryn S. Stanko, curator of the Barnes collection, The Pennsylvania Impressionist worked at RCA and is credited with the design of the GE logo and a former RCA logo.

If you can’t make it by the end of August, Barnes’ pastels will also be on display this fall in Camden, N.J., in conjunction with the Camden County Historical Society and Museum along with RCA archives.
