Breaking News from the Pastel Competition Scene

This just in from from a pastel society near you:
The
Maryland Pastel Society
's biennial Shades of Pastel Show is currently on display at beautiful
Strathmore Hall
in Bethesda, Maryland through October 20th. Juror
Bob Rohm
chose 100 paintings from 275 submissions. Best in Show went to
Bill James
for
Cuban Grandmother
.
Lisa Mitchell
(MPS President) won first place for
In Route to Taos
, and
Michael McGurk
won second place for
Blue Fenders
.
