Do You Tube Pastels?
Posted by sarah

I'm always really excited when I discover one of the magazine's friends on You Tube. Check out Sandy Byers' little montage of works. She'll send you to her blog at the end of the show, or you can just click here to visit it now. Of course, you can also pick up the June 2008 issue of PJ to find her work in our "Animal Attraction" feature.

Creating You Tube videos is a fun new enterprise for me. I started by first showing just my images slide by slide, moving next to showing in progress pastels. I also create videos for my art previews, my art events and my art collectors. One of my collectors, a curator at Millenia Gallery is taking my video with him as an example to use at his seminars on marketing art. I did most of these without a video camera, but I just got one so I have more to learn.

(this one is a humourous self promotion using my dog for the COW exhibit at Comma Gallery)

I have 14 videos presently. As you progress through them you can see snippets within including the use of video and not just still shots. I am glad to answer any questions for artists who have not yet explored this avenue.
